Remote Area First Aid

Course Description

Remote Area First Aid is designed for people working or traveling in remote areas.  This first aid training course will equip them with the knowledge and skills to respond to a medical emergency in a remote or isolated area where delivery of the casualty to an established medical facility could be delayed.

Methods of Delivery and Course Duration

  • 2 days of interactive training and assessment with outdoor scenarios as location permits

Course Information

Pre-requisite: It is highly recommended that participants hold a current Senior First Aid certificate

On successfully completing the training, participants will obtain a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment in the unit of competence:

  • HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR
  • HLTFA302A - Provide First Aid in Remote Situation

Validity: Remote Area First Aid is valid for 3 years. It is recommendation from the Australian resuscitation council that the CPR component be updated every 12 months.
