Surf Life Saving WA has been saving lives for over 100 years.

People are often unaware that Surf Life Saving WA offers first aid training courses to companies and the general public, not just our member base. Saving lives is embedded our culture, and through this experience we are now training people in the workplace to become real lifesavers.

The Australian Lifesaving Academy of WA (ALAWA) offers a range of first aid courses in WA to all different industry sectors. Courses range from basic CPR and Senior First Aid through to Occupational First Aid Course. Our pricing, flexibility in training delivery and ability to tailor courses to the company needs sets us apart from our competitors. By listening to clients and offering companies variety and choice, ALAWA is proud to provide training for clients such as Rio Tinto Iron Ore, Acacia Prison, Australian Rail Group (ARG), Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and many more.

All funds generated from the operations of the Australian Lifesaving Academy of WA is re-invested into the voluntary movement on the beach, assisting our members and clubs to create a safer aquatic environments for all West Australians.
